Public Lands:
Montana’s public lands are our heritage. I oppose transferring federal lands to state control, which too often means privatization and lost access. I support responsible development that protects clean air, clean water, and open spaces for future generations.
Union Representation:
Strong unions mean strong communities. I stand with workers fighting for fair wages, safe conditions, and the right to organize. Montana’s future depends on protecting the people who keep our economy moving.
Public Education:
Public funds belong in public schools. I oppose vouchers and tax breaks for private and charter schools. I will fight for full funding, support for teachers, and classrooms that are safe and inclusive for every student.

Housing Availability & Affordability:
We need more affordable homes for working families. I support investments in affordable housing, incentives for responsible building, and sensible rules for short-term rentals so more long-term units return to local residents.
Property Tax Relief:
Rising property taxes are squeezing families. I will push for fair, balanced reforms that protect homeowners without undermining vital public services.
Healthcare:
Access to healthcare should never depend on income or zip code. I support Medicaid expansion, oppose rollbacks, and will work to expand care in rural and urban Montana.
Fair Share Income Taxation:
Our tax system should work for working families. I support repealing upper-income tax breaks, which gave huge breaks to the wealthy. Redirecting the $200 million in yearly savings will help fund schools, infrastructure, and essential services.
Climate Change Policy:
Montana is already feeling the effects of climate change. I support a transition to renewable energy, and climate adaptation policies that protect vulnerable communities.
Local Government Control:
Communities know their needs best. I believe in giving towns and counties more authority over taxes, infrastructure, public health, and environmental stewardship instead of centralizing power in Helena.
Josh believes in collaboration and common sense over partisanship.
Josh believes public money should be spent responsibly, with clear accountability, measurable results and respect for taxpayers.
